Happy House Daycare was opened in 2008, it all started in Uta Squires 2000sqft basement. The original license was 2 Educators and 13 children. By the time August 2011 rolled around they had far surpassed that. They had become a licensed and accredited program and were at 7 Educators and 35 children. With the phone ringing off the hook each day with parents needing high quality child care, it was time for a move. Uta contacted the Northern Lights School Division and signed the lease for one year to take over the old Grand Center Middle School. With a very short time limit they renovated the school and moved in August 26, 2011 with 20 Educators and 64 children. In January 2023 Happy House Daycare South had 47 Educators, 310 children and 16 classrooms. In 2024, Uta Squire purchased Happy House Daycare South Location, which provides care for ages 12 months – 11 years old. As of May 1, 2019 Uta Squire opened a second location in Cold Lake North-Happy House Daycare North. This is a brand-new building that Uta put her heart and soul into designing and accommodating all the Lakeland areas needs. As of September 2019, this building holds 15 educators and 100 children. In August 2020, Uta opened her third location in the town of Bonnyville, inside the Centennial Centre. As of 2023, this center holds 87 children and 15 Educators.
Happy House Daycare South is a large facility the children have spacious classrooms, a large gym, and three separates fenced in outdoor areas backing onto soccer fields, as well as the playground right next door.
Happy House Daycare North is on the North side of the city and the children are offered a diverse selection of amenities such as the beach and marina, splash pad, numerous near-by parks, and direct neighbors to a newly constructed Elementary School. Our building was designed with childcare in mind providing all the necessities for every age.
Happy House Daycare Bonnyville is our newest center, located inside of the Centennial Center. We have access to many different activities such as the indoor play structure, the walking track, the field house, an outdoor play area, and much more. This location was an excellent choice for us to provide quality child care and immense fun for all ages.
